“I feel like I make a difference by inspiring youth to take action, which boosts my self-esteem, knowing I can make a difference in the city I love so much.”

Get Involved with Youth United

You can become a Youth Ambassador. Youth United is a collective of Youth Ambassadors — high school students from across the city connected by their desire to make a difference.

Youth Ambassadors find fun ways to give back. You will recruit and lead a team of volunteers to run a United Way campaign and organize fundraising activities such as running car washes, concerts, fashion shows or anything else you can think of — you can even lead a team at the Enbridge CN Tower Climb.

Youth Ambassadors are plugged into the issues of our city. You will attend monthly Youth Council meetings to represent your school, help brainstorm new ideas and provide feedback to United Way. You will get to know the issues affecting your city and you will develop your leadership skills.

Youth Ambassadors act as United Way leaders at their schools. You will start your school’s United Way Club by getting five to 10 of your fellow students together with a staff advisor. You will engage and inspire your peers, focusing their attention on the issues affecting their community and how they can help bring about positive, lasting change.
