Become a CITY Leader
CITY Leaders, through theoretical education, applied learning, mentoring, online engagement, and peer networking provides young adults with the practical knowledge and tools to become effective leaders, navigators and connectors in Toronto’s non-profit sector and communities.
We are happy to announce that CITY Leaders is now accepting applications for the 2011 CITY Leaders in the Neighbourhoods stream.
Who should apply?
CITY Leaders in the Neighbourhoods stream is open to young leaders from racialized communities who are:
- 18 to 29 years old
- The Neighbourhood stream: racialized youth 18 to 24 who work, volunteer and/or live in a underserviced community and/or Priority Neighbourhood
- The Sector stream: young adults 25 to 29 who work in the community and social service sector in Toronto
Information Sessions in the Community
In an effort to answer any questions related to the application process or institute experience, CITY Leaders will be holding a series of Information Sessions throughout January 2011. If you are interested in attending, please register by clicking here.

Application Process
Interested applicants must submit their completed application form and supporting documents via email to CITY Leaders at cityleaders@uwgt.org. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview. Application by fax will NOT be considered. Please refer to the Guide to Completing Your Application for further instructions on how to submit.
