THIS YEAR’S TOP FUNDRAISING PRIZES
We’re excited to announce our top fundraisers at this year’s Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way and want to thank everyone who helped support our community by collecting pledges.
The top Fundraiser is Peter Heffernan from Scotiabank. He raised $29,048.88. He is a true United Way supporter and over the years has raised close to $60,000 for United Way at this event since 2008! Peter has received the VIP Grey Cup package, which includes two tickets to the 100th Grey Cup in Toronto (held November 2012), plus two tickets to a VIP Grey Cup gala being held at Scotia Plaza. Peter would like to acknowledge the Global Risk Management One Team-One Goal group effort he is a part of with his colleagues.
The top Fundraising Team was Global Wealth Management lead by Tuula Jalasjaa from Scotiabank. Her team won the Workplace Wellness Day Prize Pack that includes all-natural organic manicures, 20-minute relaxation massages, organic skin care samples, holistic nutritional and naturopathic consultations, posture assessments, a one-month subscription to protrainerlive.com, and more, compliments of Grassroots Marketing & PR. The team collectively raised $59,629!

By collecting $2,500 and $4,999…
You receive a $250 HBC Gift Card.
By collecting between $1,000 and $2,499…
You receive a $100 HBC Gift Card.
By collecting between $500 and $999…
You receive a $50 HBC Gift Card.
By collecting between $250 and $499…
You receive a $25 HBC Gift Card.
Prize pick-up details
United Way Toronto cannot mail out or courier prizes. We reserve the right to substitute prizes for equal or greater value.
Prizes will only be issued in person from 9 am to 4:30 pm, Tuesday, August 7 to Friday, August 17, 2012 at United Way Toronto’s head office, located at 26 Wellington Street East, 2nd Floor, Toronto, ON, M5E 1W9. Mark these dates in your calendar, as you will not be contacted by United Way Toronto.
Prizes are non-cumulative and are awarded based on the categories listed. One prize per eligible participant will be allowed. Prizes are based on individual fundraising totals — not team fundraising totals. Only pledge money submitted by 5 pm, Friday, July 13, 2012 will be eligible for incentive prizes.
Best individual costume
Martin took home the top individual costume honours at the 2012 Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way. Congratulations, Martin!
