Join the pack at the 2014 Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way
The 14th Annual Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way is taking place in mid June 2014 — will you be there helping make our city a better place for everyone? One of our most popular fundraising events, this 5-kilometre fun run will take you through the heart of downtown Toronto. You’ll have a blast scurrying toward the finish line among more than a thousand other rats who also care about our community.
There’s more to the race than just running. Every dollar you raise will go toward United Way Toronto’s work to help connect people to the resources and supports they need to build a better life for themselves. You can learn more about the work our rats make possible by reading our Report to the Community.
Get a team together, meet other runners, don rat-inspired costumes — or better yet, wear your suit — and win great prizes. And don’t miss our fun kick-off party that includes a group warm-up and delicious post-run refreshments to help you wind down. See you at the start line!
Congratulations to this year’s prize winners!
Way to go Mark Dechert and the Scotiabank GRM Bright Futures team! Together, they raised an impressive $71,894 by getting creative with their efforts. The team will donate the “Ultimate Toronto Maple Leafs Experience” top fundraising prize back to their 2013 United Way workplace campaign.
Congratulations to the winner of the $250 Oliver & Bonacini gift card, Ben Tucci from CIBC, who raised $3,780.
