United Way poverty report reveals 1 in 4 Toronto families struggling in poverty
Despite economic prosperity, high employment and strong job growth Toronto’s family poverty rate at 28.8 per cent, compared with 19.5 per cent across Canada

Frances Lankin, President and CEO of United Way of Greater Toronto, presents the findings of a United Way report, Monday, November 26, 2007, in Toronto. The report, Losing Ground: The Persistent Growth of Family Poverty in Canada's Largest City, reveals one in four Toronto families is struggling in poverty, opening up an ever-widening gap between them and families in the rest of Canada.

Teams take 1,776 steps to warm up for Enbridge CN Tower Climb for United Way
On October 11, 2007, teams from Enbridge, Sony, RBC and United Way took part in a high-spirited stair climber relay race at Yonge-Dundas Square to promote the 30th annual Enbridge CN Tower Climb for United Way, which takes place October 18, 20 and 21.
