The 2013 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon takes place on Sunday, October 20.

Each year, the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5K Run/Walk attracts thousands in search of a challenge. And, for the fifth consecutive year, United Way Toronto is an official charity. On your mark. Get set. Register!

Step 1: Register for the marathon

To sign up for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, visit the Canada Running Series website and indicate that you’re a Charity Challenge Runner. Then, select United Way Toronto as your charity of choice! Online registration closes at 12:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013.

Step 2: Fundraise for United Way

Get started by creating your personalized fundraising page. Here, you can keep track of all your fundraising activity, including your total amount raised (which can be applied to your workplace fundraising goal). The deadline for fundraising is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013.

Fundraising for United Way has its rewards

The following prizes are available to runners:

  • Raise $1,000 and receive a $100 HBC gift card
  • Raise $500 and receive a $50 HBC gift card
  • Raise $250 and receive a $25 HBC gift card
