In 2007, more than 1,200 people participated in the Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way. Dressed in Rat inspired outfits, suits, and cool costumes, participants “scurried” through the downtown streets to raise more than $263,000 for United Way Toronto in support of its network of 200 member agencies. The Scotiabank Rat Race is about the downtown community getting together to make Toronto a stronger, healthier city for us all.
